Husband and parent of two children ages 16 and 14. I am an active volunteer in my community; coach youth sports as well as membership on various academic, social and athletic organizations in my town. I am chair of the board of Deacons at my church, North Windham Union Church, United Church of Christ. I enjoy golf, outdoor activities and anything that brings me closer to my friends and family.

Graduate and Professional Studies Education Faculty- MSEd Graduate and Professional StudiesI began as a part time faculty member of the MSEd program in 2010. I was promoted to a full-time faculty instructor in June of 2013. I was given the award of Graduate and Professionals Studies Education online instructor of the year for 2011 at St. Joseph's College.
I currently teach two online courses. ED 534-Community Relations and Communication and ED 516 Standards Based Education.
I also work with graduate students to review their research and capstone projects.
I have taught summer sessions in a hybrid setting. Standards Based Course.
I taught a hybrid online course to a cohort group of administrators for Educational Leadership.
I have rewritten a course and have developed another course.
I am Quality Matters trained and I have worked hard to engage my students in my courses with the use of ANGEL, Jing and Prezi.

Educational Specialist Coach and Trainer
As an educational consultant I have worked with school districts on their transformation to a student centered standards based teaching and learning system. The major areas of focus are; building a shared vision, leadership, personal mastery and continuous improvement. Through staff trainings and coaching visits I have supported teachers and leaders in their measured growth and progress along a defined and measured progression.
I have also been charged with supporting and coaching the leadership of the Charleston County School district. I supported all 16 "Race to the Top" School Based leaders in the developing of a sustained strategic plan for their school as they transform to personalized learning. I have also developed a educational journal, RISConnections, for our coalition members, that focuses on transformative leadership and second order change. A number of the articles have been re-published on the Competency Works website.
In addition to coaching and training I have supported a number of projects that focus on alignment of curriculum and the developing a scoring scales. Currently, I am developing the Leadership training modules that will be aligned to "best practices and theory" as well as Marzano's High reliability Schools.

Russell School is the Kindergarten to Second grade school serving the students and families of Gray, Maine. I also led Memorial Elementary School in New Gloucester. My leadership of these schools involved the day to day operations of the school as well as the professional growth of the teachers and the academic and social growth of our students. Through evaluation and supervision of staff, as well as developing a comprehensive proficiency based instruction and assessment system. I considered myself the educational leader of my building. As an educational leader I was charged with the legal and fiscal operations of our buildings, staff and students. Therefore, my expertise is varied in the areas of legal and ethical considerations as well as the latest theory and practices that enable learning institutions to meet the ever changing and demanding needs placed upon them. My work within the district had included Technology Committee Chair, New Teacher Mentor Training, liaison to St. Joseph’s Practicum placements as well as hosting schools from around the state to share our transformative experiences as we have worked with the RISC framework.
I also served as the Professional Development Committee chair for the Maine Principals Association. I have offered numerous presentations at the state fall conference.
