A privately practicing orthodontist for more than two decades, Dixon Taylor, DDS, MSD, owns and operates an orthodontic office in the Northern California community of Concord, located in the San Francisco Bay area. At the practice, Dr. Taylor and his highly trained staff offer professional and affordable care and the latest orthodontic tools and technologies to patients of all different ages, from children to adults. Outside of the office, Dr. Dixon Taylor maintains his knowledge of industry advancements through active involvement in a number of organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the Contra Costa Dental Society, the latter of which he previously served as president. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Dixon Taylor opened his current practice in 1990. After earning a DDS, he then obtained a Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Following this, he underwent a comprehensive orthodontic residency program at the University of Tennessee. Regionally respected for providing quality orthodontic care, Dr. Dixon Taylor works with patients and, if necessary, their parents or guardians to identify the best course of action in improving the appearances and functionality of their teeth. He and his staff offer several different types of braces, including the Invisalign clear plastic straightening system and translucent ceramic braces, both of which maintain strong aesthetic appeal, especially among professional adult patients that want to reduce their appearance of having braces. Dr. Dixon Taylor balances his demanding duties as a practice owner/operator with active involvement in the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association. Dr. Taylor also maintains board-certification eligibility, and he previously published articles in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
