Dimitris is an seasoned market analyst, specializing in telecommunications and next generation wireless technologies and is an expert in aligning and exploring technical issues with the business requirements of players across the telecommunication value chain. He has a BEng in Telecommunications Engineering, an MSc in Satellite Communication Engineering and a PhD in Mobile Communications. He worked on a number of important projects on 4G and future telecommunication systems during his studies and Post Doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Surrey. He also carried out several projects and studies on network planning and optimisation on behalf of an international mobile operator. Dimitris has been established as an independent consultant since March 2004. He has authored/co-authored research reports on WiMAX, Future Mobile Broadband, IMS Opportunities and Challenges, Future Mobile Computing, and Wireless Automation. He has carried out many studies including a Motorola-sponsored independent white paper on Seamless Mobility, projects on Handset Casings, Handset Text Display Capabilities, Next Generation Networking, Softswitch and Media Gateways, Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology and Synchronous Digital Hierarchy.
