Summary

Headquartered in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin, Didion Milling, Inc. prides itself on the high-quality food and energy products it manufactures. Maintaining a strong commitment to excellence since its inception nearly 40 years ago, Didion Milling stands apart as a pioneer in sustainable production, garnering numerous accolades for its environmental contributions on a regular basis. A family-owned business with a solid record of top-notch customer service, Didion Milling employs an experienced and knowledgeable team of researchers and marketing specialists, all of whom possess a dedication to upholding the company’s reputation in every capacity. Founded by brothers John and Dow Didion in 1972, Didion Milling quickly established itself as a leader in the agricultural and energy production industries. One of the world’s most ecologically conscious grain merchandising firms, Didion Milling initially focused its resources on the manufacturing and distribution of bulk grain, animal feed ingredients, and other associated agricultural-input products. In the 1970s and early 1980s, Didion Milling expanded operations from one Wisconsin location to eight statewide outposts, utilizing unit trains and Mississippi River barge terminals as primary supply chains. In 1991, Didion Milling completed the construction of a dry corn mill in Cambria, Wisconsin, enabling the company to increase production of value-added grain products such as corn grits, flours, meals, and protein-rich blended foods. Ahead of its time in many respects, Didion Milling opted to partner with local Wisconsin farmers, selecting only the best corn for use in the many sustainable consumer goods the company processes and sells. In 1995, Didion Milling built a state-of-the-art facility designed to produce food-grade full-fat soy flour and roasted hulls, an accomplishment that spurred new growth on a number of infrastructural levels. Today, Didion Milling boasts distinction as an exemplary corn milling, soybean processing, and oil packaging business, taking full advantage of an ethanol plant that pumps out 50 million gallons of fuel on an annual basis. Serving as the operational base for Didion Ethanol, LLC, this facility enables Didion Milling to further its goals to improve the environment and society.
