Materials Analyst/Team Lead & Lead Buyer/Planner
Analyze, plan and manage the PFEP material flow in the supermarket while tracking parts delivered and part shortages. Develop and institute daily production schedule; monitoring product flow from raw materials to finished goods. Develop and implement strategies to keep inventory at a minimum and production at proper levels while maintaining cost reductions and without sacrificing customer satisfaction. Manage GBU logistics for air freight.• Identify root causes for part shortages and develop corrective action to prevent reoccurring problem.• Expedite materials as needed to meet changes in customer demand or production schedule.• Continually review and audit inventory minimum/maximum stocking levels based on Lean Manufacturing strategies, principals, and calculations.• Monitor and manage domestic and international supplier performance results while seeking continual improvements.• Participate on teams to assist in new product launches, product updates and the ramp down of expired products to minimize customer impact as well as minimizing obsolete inventory.• Design and implement short term and long term business strategy plans that meet / exceed business inventory levels and supplier delivery performance target.• Design and implement process improvements targeted at improved productivity, quality, safety, value engineering, cost and efficiency of operations.• Analyzed freight costs and recommended the development of a logistics air freight quoting process for the GBU to decrease costs. Instituted process and reduced freight costs by $50K in 1 month.
