I believe in beautiful code, elegant architecture, scalability, and usability. I have experience writing testable, version controlled code in PHP, Java, Ruby, C, JavaScript, and C#. Responsibilities include designing and implementing the back end application architecture for a major overhaul of the WCC online teaching platform. Used PHP 5.4 and Laravel 4.2 to create a design centering around commands and decorators that increased query efficiency and code organization.

Worked with SMATE educators to craft two web applications that augmented the teacher training program.  The first replaced a pen and paper system used to collaborate on student evaluations. This involved significant requirements gathering and communication in order to determine the needs of the client and streamline their workflow. The second replaced a legacy cold fusion application that administered customizable tests for research and feedback purposes. Both were written using a development stack including PHP, Laravel, MySql, Bootstrap, and Backbone.
