Promoted from freight tracker position to help establish successful branch operations processes in the North American Service Center after many years of no one functioning within this capacity. Report to and directly support the VP of Operations and the VP of Client Services while additionally supporting seven other VPs and Directors.  Currently work with senior management to create business continuity policies and procedures implemented companywide; Produce monthly business intelligence reporting documents, function as the office manager, and develop orientation, training and corporate social responsibility programs. Manage reception and administrative employees; administer supplies and facility maintenance budget; and handle all workplace issues that require a central point of contact for vendors, customers, and senior management in the C-suite and below.

Key Results:
  • Played a key role in ensuring the successful establishment and implementation of standardized operations procedures in the North American Service Center. Structured and implemented programs and policies in the areas of training, office supply ordering and inventory, proper mail procedures, guest office use, computer hardware tracking, resource booking, and new employee orientation.
  • Fostered a teamwork environment conducive to employee retention at the reception desk, successfully resolving the issue of a "revolving chair" that was present a number of  years before my appointment to resolve this issue.
  • Negotiated with vendors to successfully reduce egregious office spending by approximately 28% within my assigned budgetary areas.
  • Brought two floors of office space into full compliance with both OSHA and fire code.
  • Wrote the Business Continuity Plan covering issues including pandemic preparedness, emergency evacuation procedures, inclement weather policy & procedures, IT based business failures and established set information for complete on-site managerial coverage at any given time.
  • Introduced company's first formal corporate social responsibility program, creating a well-received team and moral building tool that was later praised by the CEO.
  • Established company's first formal Emergency Response Team, creating a volunteer based team trained in CPR, fire evacuation support, Heartsaver AED, fire extinguisher use, and basic medical emergency response.

Paid, part-time college internship - Hired to fulfill a broad range of functions supporting the President, Vice President and International/Imports Director including financial transactions such as daily deposits, general ledger reconciling, customer service, processing of bills of lading and customs documentation, and scheduling teleconferences for 10+ employees weekly. Coordinated travel and hotel accommodations for 10 company representatives bimonthly, received, acknowledged, researched complaints, and resolved customer inquiries regarding the location of their imported product daily, did daily administrative tasks, and coordinated all mail/correspondence distribution both internally and externally.
