Founded in 1968, the company currently operates over 300 stores across the United States and is a leader in marketing products directly to the consumer through catalogues and the internet.

Organization & Accomplishments:Developing and Implementing Performance Management metrics to focus and align the executive leadership team.Implemented Balanced Scorecard for Retail Operations group which consists of 330 stores, in 46 states.Developed process that allows departments to focus on Key drivers of value within their responsibilities, while aligning cross-functionally with others within the Enterprise. For example, linking processes from order placement, in-bound shipments to Distribution Centers, logistics to stores, and customer facing product placement.

Responsibilities:Operations Support Department is structured to align internal corporate support with the key functional disciplines of full service hotels.  Responsible for providing operational support to Hilton owned & managed hotels across all brands, world-wide.  Support included Engineering, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Safety, Security, Telecommunications, Finance, Front Office, Procurement, Training and Performance Management, as well as Brand Standards and new product implementation for the Corporation.

Performance Management
Performance Management:  My talent is in developing Performance Mgmt Processes, objective setting, monitoring results, continuous improvement and creating value.  After early retirement from Hilton, I've lectured across the country, showing companies how they can become leaders in their industries in creating value through focus and alignment.    Replicating Success:  If the ‘process’ is correct, it should translate to other entities and different types of businesses.  I've just completed a 10 month consulting project with Harbor Freight Tools (private multi-channel retailer with over 330 stores in 46 states).  The president will tell you, that in a relatively short time, performance metrics were initiated in the entire network of stores that created focus and alignment with corporate objectives.    I was then asked to stay on, to help the senior leadership team better align their activities at their corporate headquarters as well. 


Looking for an executive position in the Service sector.  Areas include hotels, travel & hospitality, hospitals, education, entertainment.

 Also interested in a Performance Management Improvement position in any major institution, including government. 


Enjoys photography, chess and competes annually in the Los Angeles Maration.


I've supervised and managed people my entire career.  I understand that Leadership isn't just a collection of desirable traits, but the ability to motivate individuals, with different perspectives and skills, toward a common goal.  I enjoy mentoring at every level, and can take charge of any situation that comes up.  I firmly believe that an organization's success is dependant on executing a successful strategy and its customer focus.
