Before January 2002:
1995 - 2002 Held a range of English language teaching posts in Russia, Greece and Slovakia.
1991 - 1995 Whilst studying at Nottingham Trent University, I worked with homeless people with drug and alcohol problems with the Macedon (now known as Framework) in Nottingham. After that I moved on to Turning Point, where I worked with people with personality disorders.
In the 1980s, I trained and qualified as Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) at Saint James' University Hospital, Leeds. After working as a staff nurse on a male acute ward, I moved on to work for Leeds Social Services where I worked with people with mental health problems. I left Leeds Social Services to study for a Communication Studies degree at Nottingham Trent University.
