I have been in Sales and Marketing all my career operating in different industries within Multi National Corporations and a local SME. As I have gained experience as both Client and Agency I have been able to develop a deep insight into the business of Marketing. Through my sales training I have developed a highly tuned interpersonal skills and am able to build a rapport with most people Having run my own company, I have gained experience in what it’s like to develop something from scratch and have proved to myself that I have the tenacity confidence and commercial insight to develop a successful business. Since being promoted to the post of Regional Sales Manager with Toshiba in 1979 I have successfully managed teams of people and been able to motivate and retain staff to help me achieve the objectives set. During my time with Sharp Electronics, I managed a National team of part time in-store consultants who were employed to work in high street store demonstrating Microwave ovens. In all my roles change has been a requirement. For example Sharp Electronics wanted to shift the emphasis from National Multiple business to a more even split between National Multiples and other channels such as regional multiples and independent groups of dealers. The business shift achieved over 2 years was spectacular with the 'Other channels' share of the total business in the UK increasing from 15% share to 40% share with the accompanying increase in profitability. During my most recent employment I assumed responsibility for HR and Health & Safety in addition to my standard marketing and administrative responsibilities.

Following some major restructuring I took on responsibility for Operations and operated in this position until September 2008 building a new Management team in the process.
