About Deborah Henson Moody

For well over a decade, Deborah Henson-Moody worked as a maid for a cleaning services company in California. Tasked with cleaning clients’ homes and work spaces, she maintained sanitary conditions by vacuuming and shampooing carpets and upholstered surfaces, polishing floors, dusting, and disposing of refuse. She also performed regular errands, including grocery shopping, purchasing household supplies, and taking soiled clothes to the laundry service. Often responsible for the care of children and the elderly, Deborah Henson-Moody assisted with such daily activities as eating, bathing, and dressing.

Since retiring, Deborah Henson-Moody has remained engaged in a number of philanthropic pursuits. She donates her time as a caregiver at a local animal shelter, and often looks after canine companions when their families are away. Through membership in the International Association for Volunteer Effort, she works to increase the contributions of volunteers worldwide. She also supports a number of social welfare and humanitarian rights organizations, among them Equality Now, Goodwill, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Also a sports enthusiast, Deborah Henson-Moody enjoys basketball, racquetball, tennis, soccer, and swimming. She follows the professional tennis player Simona Halep, as well as her favorite soccer team, Real Madrid of Spain’s La Liga.
