Website (web manager):
Managed the complete redesign of watg.com as part of the firm's overall re-branding strategy in 2007. Initiated one of the first firm blogs in our industry. (Recently refreshed the entire site using the latest responsive design technology to accommodate mobile devices.)
Responsibilities included updating and maintaining www.watg.com and www.wimberlyinteriors.com; facilitating new features and design elements with the web developer; employing strategies and techniques to improve WATG's search engine rankings (SEO); managing leads coming in through the website via forms (general inquiry); firstname.lastname@example.org, and email@example.com; tracking and measuring web analytics, site syndication, and social network activity, and using the data to identify potential opportunities and improving site performance.

Marketing Database Administration:
Responsibilities included managing and facilitating improvements to the marketing database. Responsible for security administration, training of new users, and data analysis: Analyzing and maintaining sales data , running annual and monthly reports for finance and accounting and for marketing analysis and forecasting. Making technical recommendations relating to performance and efficiency of data storage. Worked with a developer to create a new web-based database to replace the aging in-house system.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Administration:
In the planning stage, customized data fields and worked with vendors to install and test upgrades.
Responsibilities included managing Microsoft CRM firm-wide. Responsible for security administration, training of new users, and data analysis: Maintaining contact data, creating and maintaining mailing lists, and creating work flows for direct mail and email campaigns.
Axomic Digital Asset Management (DAM) System Administration:
Part of project team that researched different DAM software and customized metadata fields for storing tens of thousands marketing images. Trained staff on image upload and download protocols.
Production management: Developed the graphical look of the newsletter, worked with PR manager to create headline and craft a new theme for each issue, uploaded and linked newsletter to new content on our website, facilitated new features and back-end improvements with newsletter vendor.
Analytics: Tracked and measured reach, open rates, and engagement of recipients. Used data as a benchmark for future experiments to improve deliverability and reach.
Direct Mail Campaigns
Holiday cards/Gifts: Manage the process of holiday card mail (7,000 personalized cards) firm-wide.
Brochure mail-out: Generate updated mail list from CRM and facilitate with mail vendor.
PR AND COMMUNICATIONS:
Responsibilities included pitching ideas to CEO and executive management; interacting with international media and clients; interviewing employees; drafting and editing releases; distributing releases via Vocus press release distribution portal; and posting on the website. A recent press release that I drafted resulted in one of our employees being featured in a national design publication.
Post marketing and PR updates and share industry news internally on firm intranet site.
Negotiated and coordinated project photography. Assemble submissions for local, national, and international design awards, then publicized award winners via press releases, website, and social media.
PowerPoint Template: Created firm-wide template using corporate color and font palette and design options that can be the backbone of every PowerPoint presentation.
Project pursuits: Worked with salespersons (firm-wide) to create customized presentations for specific project pursuits.
Marketed, promoted and operated 250-member not-for-profit retail trade association.
Managed nine member executive committee, 35 member board of directors, and five steering committees.
Organized annual conference and trade shows, monthly seminars, RMH golf tournament, and legislative dinner.
Played an integral role in the organization's separation from The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii in 1994 and reorganization as an independent trade association.
Assumed additional responsibilities while maintaining normal operations as staff was downsized from five employees to two. Solely ran the organization for 6 months after the resignation of the president in 1995.
The Platinum PR Awards honors the top PR campaigns of the year, the smartest communications initiatives and the people behind them. WATG.com won the 2008 award for best website, beating out the competition that included marketing heavyweights Procter & Gamble, and Coca-Cola.
Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, web and free-lance professionals. WATG.com received a platinum award for the web design category in 2008.
The Zweig White Marketing Excellence Awards honors the top marketing campaigns in seven categories: Target marketing, special event marketing, external newsletter/magazine, direct mail campaign, advertisement, web site, and new media.
