Intersystem Testing Coordinator & Project Manager


As an employee at CenturyLink originally hired to manage and direct the Intersystem Testing (IST) group for xDSL solutions. This IST testing consisted of over 30 applications from order entry to billing, to provisioning, to activation, to monitoring of xDSL solutions. This responsibility included coordination of all systems involved in testing and deployment, negotiating with internal clients, and executing a flow through test of xDSL solutions. After performing this responsibility successfully with high standards for a year received a promotion and the opportunity to advance my skills further as a project manager for 3 applications that were new initiatives for the xDSL solutions.  As a PM productively lead the activation teams to deploy over 20 releases in each year to accommodate the different need of our internal clients. This also included negotiating funding, tracking the budget, finalizing requirements, and participating in the development of the contracts with the third party vendors, like Telcordia. These projects have diverse workforces from working with CenturyLink internal clients in other states, to development team members across the country and world working with large teams in India.

Sr. Quality Assurance Lead

Access Health Group

As an employee at Access Health Group managed a team of four QA personnel to ensure the clinical criteria system was functioning properly in both LAN and simulated WAN environments. These applications were originally developed in Visual Basic and were re-developed in HTML and JAVA. Personally responsible for the team’s development and execution of both of the test plans and test.  Ensured the quality of the applications functionality with strong test methodology skills that was obtained during several years of experience in the QA field. The platforms we tested on were Windows 95/98/NT. The databases used at this time were MS SQL Server and MS Access.

Sai Consulting, Inc.

As a contract consultant at Coors Brewing Company leading a team that ensured the ordering system of Coors Brewing Companies beer was Y2K compliant. Following the IBM methodology for Y2K compliance  developed and executed the test strategy and test cases to document that the remediated code was compliant. The re-mediated code was developed in these languages: COBOL, FORTRAN, C, Oracle Forms, and PL/SQL. The platform I tested on was Windows 95 with a KEA emulator to the DEC VAX/VMS system. The database used at this time was Oracle.

Maxim, Inc.

As a contract consultant at MCI effectively lead a team that ensured the billing system for MCI’s long distant customers was accurate through its continuous development. There were four other projects that interfaced with each other to support this billing system. Personally accountable for the development of the test plans and test cases for two of these projects. Also, wrote SQL scripts to confirm database integrity and shell scripts in UNIX to execute the projects from the command line. The programming tools used to develop these systems were C++, HTML, and Java. The platform tested on was Windows NT interfacing with a HP UNIX system. The database used at this time was Informix.

Productive Data Systems, Inc.

As a contract consultant at US WEST was part of a team that performed system testing on several projects that interface with the customer services employees at US WEST. The platforms tested on were Sun, HP, Windows 95, and NT. The programming tools used to develop these projects were Java, Oracle Forms, and Forte. Responsible for two projects in to coordinate and created test plans and test cases for each release. Also wrote SQL scripts to confirm database integrity and shell scripts in UNIX to execute the projects from the command line. The main database used at this time was Oracle.

Informix Software, Inc.

Technical Support Engineer for several Informix Products. Answered and solved highly technical questions and problems over the phone. Frequently, would perform or recreate test cases for customers who had unique situations that needed special solutions. The products that formal trained on are ISQL, 4GL, and ONLINE 5. Also supported ONLINE 6 and 7.

Advanced Graphics Systems

Performed Quality Assurance on the product VISIONAEL. VISIONAEL was a versatile CAD system for both UNIX and PC platforms. While a member of the Research and Development team for four years was able to help contribute to the advancement of its design. The software was developed with C. The platforms tested on were HP, SUN, IBM, SGI, DEC, and PC. The databases used were Oracle and Informix.
