This involved new concept creation as well as the redesign of existing applications: wire frames, mockups and high and low fidelity prototyping, user testing and evaluation.

  • Coordinated, supervised, and conducted several user studies and research in a variety of topics, some published in peer reviewed conferences and journals.
  • Managed information architecture designs, reviews and approvals for all PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications (HCM, FMS, SCM, CRM, and PeopleTools) that are accessed via Employee, Customer and Supplier portal sites.
  • Managed all aspects of general and executive level information architecture projects, including managing virtual teams, and strategic planning and execution.
  • Created usability infrastructure for the User Experience group.
  • Conceptualized and created a User Interface Standards and Guidelines document that is implemented across the company and trained engineers in its implementation.
  • Evangelized usability in the company. User Experience team was expanded from 5 engineers to 50 professionals in three year period.
  • Conducted a variety of design review and recommended solutions to product lines such as HRMS, Financials and CRM. My design recommendations systematically were implemented.
  • Supervised usability testing and created infrastructure for user research (Wrote Usability Manuals a 200 pages of document containing all materials to conduct usability testing and user research).
  • Created over 30 hours of training for PeopleSoft engineers- My trainings were qualified by executive management as outstanding and made mandatory for all PeopleSoft engineers. A CD version of my courses is sold separately by PeopleSoft University. Over 15 hundred people took my workshop over a two year period.
  • Trained PeopleSoft offshore groups (Bangalore-India) and helped to create usability infrastructure for the User Experience.
  • Presented workshop round table and discussion groups at PeopleSoft User Conferences.

  • Led a variety of industrial projects such as:
  • Conducted research as part of a multi national research group to create design specifications for the new generation of mammography systems, GE Medical;
  • Task analysis of bus operators: analyzed operators in their real work situation by informal interviews, direct observation, video recording, and photography of the spontaneous behaviors of each subject at work. Created guidelines for product selection, and made recommendations for improvement based on this task analysis. California Health Consultant, Menlo Park, CA.
  • Wrote business requirements, conducted usability testing, and coordinated the user interface design of a distributed menu driven software tool for design of traveling wave tubes. Analatom, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA.
  • Developed a method for task analysis and workstation evaluation in small and medium sized companies. SNAPEI, France.
  • Designed a Method for Restructuring Education, Training and Evaluation of the Specialized Vocational Training Institutions. Based on Systems Analysis and needs assessment of several institutions. SNAPEI, France..
