The Swiss Hotel Bosphorus renovation 

Under the Hill International Turkey branch, project management group, 100M Euro valued renovation's main tasks are given as design review, material approval, contract management, sight inspection and electromechanical coordination. State of the art 500 smart rooms and lofts, multipurpose main kitchen, 200 people capacity Gaja roof restaurant, Miyako Japanese restaurant, 5.900 square meters of meeting space with audio visual and high-tech equipments. 

RFI’s, DVR’s, design issues, inter-disciplinary coordination, preparation of annual reports, check and approval of monthly progress payments of main contractor. Contractor claims for variations/change orders with minimum technical review staff.

The project is presently under construction and expected to be complete by March 2016.

Challenge: In a hotel with complex architecture, while maintaining the current utility for guests in a block, the renovation and demolition continues on the next blocks. This requires a quietly operating construction field with no interruption on utility services. On the other hand concurrently processing and improving of five-star Rixos Premium in Antalya, LÖSEV Health Campus Village in Ankara, Asyaport Container Terminal. 


Rixos Premium Tekirova, Antalya

In charge of performance testing and commissioning of 186.000 square meter five- star hotel; 770 rooms, suites and villas, 8 individual restaurants, meeting rooms, Spa center, swimming pool, night clubs, aqua park, transformer and generator centers, MV rooms, HVAC center and exterior illumination.


Asyaport Container Terminal, Tekirdağ

Contract management, start up and commissioning of Asyaport container terminal located in Tekirdağ on 300.000 sqm with 2.5 M TEU per year. Electrical power installed 16x2 MW transformer capacity, 12 distribution transformers of each 1600 kVA. MV & LV distribution, plant illumination 

This project was done by FIDIC requirements.

LÖSEV Health Campus, Ankara

In charge of performance testing and commissioning off 200 bedded oncology hospital campus including Intensive Care Units, Policlinics, Radiology, labs, cinema and activity rooms, Spa center, swimming pools, state of art conference hall. Located in the same campus, a hotel and a school in 17.000 sqm.

Kayseri Research & Health Campus

Electrical Coordinator of Ministry of Health's (MoH) PPP projects in health campus investment with a total capacity of 1,548 beds consisting of 1,048-bed Education and Research Hospital, 200-bed Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital, 200-bed Psychiatric Hospital and 100-bed High-Security Psychiatric Hospital. This is a MoH investment of more than 5 billion $. NKY & OWP/P NKY & ITEC JV Turkey's Ankara Etlik health campus, the world's largest medical complex having 2566 beds and built on 1.200.000 square meter.

Challenge: In spite of maximum technical requirements the project was to fix in to the contract budget. 

Addition to that in charge of implementing 2 more large scale PPP projects of MoH Etlik health campus and İkitelli health campus projects in design and construction stages. 

Senior Design Engineer

Al Fateh University, Tripoli, Libya

In-charge of design review management of the $ 3 Billion, Al Fateh University Design/Build Project, including its master plan in two campuses with numerous Faculty Buildings (arts, science, humanities, law, engineering and medicine), the Main Auditorium and Library Complex, Student & Staff Accommodations, Laboratory facilities, etc. Work involved review and approval of stage-D, stage-C and shop drawings, specifications, material approvals, studies, reports and calculations to meet International Standards and Codes, in a timely manner to support an aggressive and demanding construction program. The goal was to deliver a state-of-the art university with 88 new buildings (design concept to FF&E and commissioning) with an overall built-up area of 1.2 million sq. meters, in Design/Build contracts by 3 International Contractors, supported by numerous International Design Consultants.

Challenge: Managing multiple Consultants simultaneously, reviewing and signing off Construction / Shop Drawings “As Compliant”, keeping the Client updated on progress and ensuring that Contractors had enough “approved” drawings to keep construction on schedule. Issues - Volume, Variety & Complexity 

Note: Project abandoned and expatriate staff evacuated in 2011 during revolution to overthrow Gadaffi.
