In Brief: New account development and project oversight with North American integration partners and European-based technology principals. Technologies include; surface quality analysis technology, full-field strain analysis for sheet metals, and laser-based dimensional gauging. Current projects include a novel approach to quantifying composite material surface appearance for a leading aerospace company, and a pilot project for quantifying sheet metal appearance for a major automotive OEM. Tasked with developing concepts based on innovative tools and methodologies  - and bringing those concepts to market.


Business Development Manager - Automotive Division

LMI Technologies Inc. / Diffracto Ltd.

LMI Technologies Inc. is a multinational research, development, and manufacturing organization specializing in machine vision applied technologies. The Automotive Division specializes in laser-based dimensional gaging for full BIW applications and sub-assemblies. LMI acquired Diffracto Ltd. in the 98-99 timeframe. Diffracto was a technology pioneer accredited with several industry-defining patents and innovations.

In Brief: Established integrator-partners for laser-based gauging system. Engaged in locating, evaluating and monitoring partner companies. Provided initial marketing needs assessment and established immediate and long-term joint sales strategies. Supplied detailed market-specific analysis, sales data and product line extension opportunities.


Product Manager / Key Account Sales

In Brief: Oversight of proprietary surface inspection technology and key account direct sales.  Development of all new sales leads; professional quote generation and project tracking. Product definition, market prep and business development, hardware/software product extension. High-level interaction with engineering groups and corporate stakeholders. General supervision on product direction.


Account Manager

In Brief: Direct sales to Automotive and Heavy Truck OEMs, tooling die and mould, stamping and assembly Tier operations. Grew proprietary technology sales in global automotive markets for fledgling owners of Automotive Division; North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Project assessment and generation of all key account and distributor RFQs. Also lead sales of Aerospace (Military & Commercial): scanning/mapping technology. Met or exceeded sales quota while contributing as a technology specialist.


Account Manager / Marketing Coordinator

In Brief: Aerospace & Automotive Machine Vision sales and marketing. Worldwide sales of aerospace inspection technologies, North American sales of automotive inspection technologies, (OEM and Tier Level). Initiated all aerospace direct sales, demonstrations, tradeshows, conferences, and marketing activities. Responsible for aerospace R&D project liaison and emerging technology contracts. Special attention to Government stakeholders, USAF, RAF and DND Canada. Markets served: NA, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Australia.


Director Corporate Communications / Branch Manager

In Brief: Sales and project development of professional video-based product, tradeshow, promotion and training packages. Design and implementation of marketing mix plans. Production detailing and costing. Started Calgary operation from scratch. Oversight of account managers; script development, and local productions.
