Based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Dr. David Weingold has maintained his private dermatology practice since November 1999. Prior to going into private practice, he belonged to a group practice in Jonesboro. Dr. Weingold is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, he has earned the organization’s volunteer award for his service to the community. Local television station KAIT recently named Dr. Weingold the area’s best dermatologist. Dr. David Weingold attended Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. A strong student, he earned membership in Phi Beta Kappa and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies in 1983. Dr. Weingold went on to enroll at Yale School of Medicine, where he completed his Doctor of Medicine in 1987. Upon graduation, Dr. Weingold embarked on an internship at North Carolina Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency in dermatology at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. During his time as a student, Dr. Weingold published a number of papers in journals and presented at a national conference on the use of the Mohs procedure on a rare type of tumor. At his practice in Jonesboro, Dr. David Weingold diagnoses and treats a range of skin conditions, including psoriasis, benign skin lesions, acne, contact dermatitis, and skin cancer. When treating skin cancer, Dr. Weingold uses the cutting-edge Mohs micrographic surgical technique as well as conventional surgery, electrodesiccation and curettage, and cream treatments. In addition to maintaining his private practice, Dr. David Weingold currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine, where he works primarily with family practice residents.
