    Chief Enterprise Architect: Lead and Senior IT Architecture team member, and creator of the vision-state systems architectures supporting the core eHealth EHR systems supporting the medical industry of the Province of British Columbia, especially for the following core systems:

    - Medical Healthcare Insurance Enrolment (~4.8 million enrollment)- Medical Claims Processing, Adjudication and Management (~4 million bi-weekly)- PharmaNet2 (PharmaNet-eRX), PCIS and DIS (~$150 mil dispensations per year)

    All architectures compatible with the CHI (Canada Health Infoway) Federal eHealth vision-state architectures targeting HL7 version 2 and 3 EHR messaging standards.

    • Methodology: Created and introduced (corporate) the EA (enterprise architecture) methodology (based on TOGAF, DODAF, FEA, GAEAF), all frameworks for governance, involved design, PMO communications and program development. Methodologies improved stakeholder confidence, sponsorship approval ratings and overall expedited the mandates of the IT organization 100%.
    • Mainframe: Designed all architectures involving the IBM Series 10 Mainframe (z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS:Cobol, PL/1, CA-AION, MQ Series), introducing the DataDirect Shadow SOA technologies for increased access and better integration capabilities with the mainframe resources.
    • Designed all architectures for a comprehensive ORACLE platform, using a SPARC/Intel mix of SUN gear (Solaris/VMWare)), with an inventory of technologies (ODI,Vault,BI, Reports,GRID) succeeding a $5.5 million platform of technologies (application, infrastructure, services), gaining all approvals to
    • Designed the Borland Requirements and Test platform (CaliberRM, SilkTest), and the JAVA application development environment, recommending and adopting the Sybase PowerDesigner data and process design tools.
    • Led and mentored the ITWG (working group), mentoring and leading the senior technologists in visioning and planning sessions, as well, creating a forum for problem solving and solution generation for a rapid approach to Solution Architecture and development.
    • Created the Master Design for the SOA (Service Oriented Integration) architectures, introducing SOA architectures on the mainframe, harmonizing the IBM MQ Series platform while creating a comprehensive off-mainframe ORACLE/BEA Aqualogic integration platform succeeding a SOAP/HTML based HL7v3 messaging integration architecture.
    • Strategic Planning & ARB; Led the Architecture Review Board providing governance and oversight of all introductions and changes to architecture, while leading the strategic planning process, providing recommendations to all management and the CIO on the planning directives of the division for short-range and long-range plans.

    Impact: Designed the future eHealth systems supporting the province for Enrollment, Claims and Pharmacy.
