For more than 30 years, finance executive David Puth has been involved in the worlds of investment banking and philanthropy. As the Chief Executive Officer for CLS Group Holdings AG, he currently leads a global initiative to manage settlement risk in the foreign exchange (FX) markets. CLS Group, through subsidiaries CLS Bank International and CLS Services Ltd., has managed the post-trade settlement of more than $7 quadrillion in FX trades since its inception in 2002, and today directly settles a major portion of the total volume of FX trades. Since joining the company as its CEO, David Puth has overseen the continued development of CLS Group’s technology as it prepares for further growth in the markets.Given his history of experience with FX markets and global currency issues, David Puth has described his position at CLS Group as the “natural next step” in his career. He has previously served as the Head of Emerging Markets, Global Currency and Commodities, Sales, Trading and Research at J.P. Morgan Chase; the founder of risk-management consultancy The Eriska Group; the Head of Global Markets and Executive Vice President at State Street Corporation. David Puth’s unique qualifications enable him to lead CLS Group through the challenges of regulatory changes and continued economic changes in world financial markets.In addition to a very full professional life, David Puth has also found time to give back to his community through a number of not-for-profit endeavors. His philanthropic work extends to leadership roles at several organizations, including the Institute for Contemporary Art in Boston, the Berkshire School, and Tufts University’s Institute for Global Leadership. David Puth has also been deeply involved t the New York City-based Robin Hood Foundation, where has been a member of its Board of Directors since 1998.
