Training Developer / Implementation Consultant

Descartes Systems Group (formerly RouteView Technologies)

Designed and delivered training programs for end users, system administrators, managers and technical support staff. Developed customized training programs to meet specific needs. Presented material in on-site, distance learning and blended formats.

Created and managed a corporate on-line training portal. Produced, edited and updated the learning content.

Provided second-line technical support and project management for new clients.

Recipient of a peer nominated "Above & Beyond" award for contribution to the company.

Key Accomplishments:

The on-line training program improved the efficiency of the customer service team by reducing incoming call volumes and increased customer satisfaction by making training available on demand.

Developed and presented a series of three-day training seminars which lead to additional customer deployments and increased revenue.

Designed and delivered training curriculum that supported the transfer of product knowledge to a new first-level support organization.

Managed training profit centers focused on the energy, telecommunications and defensive driving / law enforcement markets. Duties included; needs assessment, development of technical and soft skills training programs for client organizations.

Hired and supervised trainers, instructional designers and subject matter experts.

Key Accomplishments:

Coordinated the on-going operations of a proprietary technical continuing education and degree program serving 125-160 corporate employees per quarter.

Project manager for the implementation of a$395,000 welfare-to-work training grant that developed work-ready applicants for four major employers.

Supervised the creation and operation of a joint venture with a national cable television firm in which the training of newly hired technicians was outsourced to the college.
