David Kashifi is a Senior Corrosion Engineer with more than seventeen years of experience in his field. He is proficient in cathodic protection, civil engineering, corrosion control, materials selection, chemical inhibitors, and environmental engineering. Kashifi has a great deal of education and training to supplement his experience, including a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly State University. Additionally, he is a certified Cathodic Protection Specialist and Coating Inspector and has taken multiple courses to continue his education on topics such as international bridge corrosion inspection and steel and concrete coating inspections. David Kashifi is also a certified Hazard Waste Operator with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Currently, David Kashifi is as a Senior Corrosion Engineer with Corrosion Protection Solutions, a position he has held since 2003. He regularly handles corrosion consulting and cathodic protection services for multi-million dollar projects, working with dozens of clients, including the Alisto Engineering Group, the San Francisco International Airport, Mountain Cascade, and the South Tahoe Public Utility District. He has experience working with general contractors, municipalities, and gas and oil companies. David Kashifi handles many tasks, including project management, job proposals, job walks, corrosivity tests, and cathodic protection interference. He also handles administrative tasks, including the training of new personnel. David Kashifi has previously been employed as an engineer with CONCECO/MATCOR Engineering, Inc., Corrpro Companies, Inc., and the Alameda County Water District. To supplement his career, he holds memberships with the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and the Cal Poly Alumni Association. In addition to his work as an engineer, Kashifi is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California and participates on the National Board of Realtors. He greatly enjoys volunteer work, and has developed, funded, and managed a health care clinic in a third world country.
