James Irvine Summer Research Grant

  • Awarded research grant to study the effects of the federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) on reducing poverty in California.
  • Found evidence of business windfall gains and a notable decline in real wages of WOTC recipients showing a pronounced failure of the program to decrease poverty.
