David Haight (Army)

A career officer with the United States Army, David Haight holds a bachelor of arts in history from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah; a master of arts in national security and strategic studies from the United States Naval Command and Staff College in Newport, Rhode Island; and a master of science in national security studies from the United States Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Over the course of his military career, David Haight has commanded airborne and ranger units from Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Fort Lewis, Washington, and an infantry brigade at Fort Drum, New York. Additionally he was the executive assistant to the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff in Washington, DC.
Mr. Haight ultimately ascended to the rank of major general and commanded large forces domestically and abroad. He most recently served as director of operations for United States European Command (USEUCOM) in Stuttgart, Germany. This position placed him in charge of the planning and execution of all joint military operations in the 52 countries that comprise USEUCOM. He was also required to coordinate daily with NATO and a variety of US government agencies.
