Throughout his nearly 20 years at Nike, marketing professional Davide Grasso contributed to several well-known advertising campaigns. Recent work includes the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Games, where Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang is wearing Nike’s new Pro TurboSpeed uniform. Nike also designed the uniforms for the 2012 Chinese archery, basketball, beach volleyball, tennis, weightlifting, and wrestling squads. Davide Grasso played a significant role in introducing LeBron James as a Nike spokesman and led several advertising initiatives, such as the Free, Presto, Alpha, and Write the Future campaigns, which he initiated as the Vice President, Global Football Marketing, a position he held from 2009 to 2010. Davide Grasso currently serves as Nike's Chief Marketing Officer. Working out of the Global Region office, Mr. Grasso fulfills the duties of Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for all ad campaigns for all product categories in the company’s six regions across the world. Mr. Grasso assumed the role in 2010, following a promotion from Global Football Marketing. Prior to that, Mr. Grasso served as the Vice President, Brand and Category Management, Asia Pacific, supervising all brand management activities in Asia and managing a budget of $270 million. Previous roles include Brand Marketing Director, Apparel Marketing Director - Europe, Director of Marketing, and Product Line Manager.Davide Grasso gained experience in the marketing industry outside of Nike. Following his graduation from the University of Turin, Italy, Mr. Grasso secured an Assistant to the Marketing Director position with an Italian clothier and then an account executive position with an Italian consumer-goods company. Following his graduation from SDA Bocconi, where he earned an MBA from the Milan, Italy, based school, Davide Grasso joined Nike Europe. Aside from two years as the General Manager of Vestimenta S.p.A., he has been with the company ever since.
