David Dewar possesses nearly 30 years of experience in all facets of business. Currently, David Dewar serves as Managing Partner of Arizona-based Blue Pear Ventures, a company that assists technology-based start-up companies in locating capital and resources in order to take their businesses to the next level.As an undergraduate, David Dewar attended Ryerson Polytechnical University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Technology in 1985, with a major in project management and a minor in economics. With expertise in real estate development and project management, David Dewar began his career as President of his own consulting company, providing project management services to various retail clients throughout Canada, such as Beaver Canoe, Birks Jewelers, Club Monaco, and Hazelton Lanes. In 1988, he joined Copthorne Holdings as Project Manager before becoming Principal of Magellan Real Estate Investments, where he supervised the construction, development, and management of office and multi-family units in Arizona and California. In 1997, David Dewar joined Capital Title as Director of the Investor Audit Committee and Member of the Compensation Committee, after which he founded Trillium Residential in 2002, where he oversaw the construction and management of multi-family residential communities. During his tenure at Trillium and in collaboration with joint venture partners, he managed the development of award-winning residential properties totaling more than $500 million in California and Arizona.David Dewar is a member of the Young Presidents Organization’s Arizona chapter and sits on the Board of Directors of the Phoenix Global Trade Initiatives under Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon. In his spare time, he enjoys fly fishing, hiking, and skiing.
