My name is David Baxter and Journalism School graduate from the University of Regina. I am currently a chase producer on CTV Morning Live in Saskatoon.

Some of my interests in reporting include politics, health news, social issues, sports, and science.

I first entered the University of Regina with goals of pursuing a degree in film and video production, but I soon found that it wasn't quite the right fit for me.  I was looking at making documentaries once I completed school, and this led me to the school of journalism.

Once I was accepted into the journalism program I immediately fell in love with the work and knew that I had made the right choice.

Cameras (still and video)
Over the past several years I have been working with a wide variety of video cameras for work, school, and recreation. Over the past year I have become well versed in shooting news stories as I produce on average two packs a day in Fort St. John.
Audio and Video Editing
I began AV editing when I was 15 in a media class at my high school, Melfort Unit and Comprehensive Collegiate (MUCC). I really enjoyed the class and have been doing video editing work ever since in the form of a few short, fun videos. More recently I have been learning how to use my editing knowledge to make pieces for my broadcast classes in J-School.   I have experience with iMovie, Adobe Premier, Garage Band, Protools, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, and I record and edit my newscasts in Burli.
