David Bass, a respected authority in the public relations industry, is the President, CEO, and founder of Raptor Strategies, LLC. This forward-thinking public relations firm is located in the nation’s capital and focuses on public policy and issues of national and international importance. With David Bass at the helm, Raptor Strategies is unique in the depth and variety of media experience it holds. The firm’s personnel offer wide-ranging experience in local and national politics, as well as in the editorial and publishing milieus. 

David Bass has made appearances on BBC, CNBC, and Fox News. As someone who has worked in Washington for years, he is regularly tapped for his knowledge and opinions about the policy and political scene. Exemplifying this, Bass' contributions run the gamut, from commentary about financial services regulatory reform, to the blog known as National Journal’s 'Under the Influence': An Inside View of the Lobbying and Advocacy Industry, to being quoted in a Washington Post article about the challenges politicians face when moving to Washington, D.C.

Before starting his tenure as the head of Raptor Strategies, David Bass worked at a variety of high-profile jobs in the media industry. He was the Vice President of Luntz, Maslansky Strategic Research, the Managing Director of Qorvis Communications, and the Deputy Publisher of an influential news magazine, The Weekly Standard. He continues to cultivate a vast network of media and political contacts in order to facilitate the growth of Raptor Strategies.

David Bass presently lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and two children. When not working or spending time with his family, he enjoys running or cycling. David Bass sits on the Advisory Council of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
