Project Manager

Southern California Edison

Program manager for all Caltrans relocation projects with a current program portfolio of approximately $70M across 90 projects. 

  • Chosen to lead the project management team and served as interim Senior Project Manager for 24 months
  • Implemented scheduling process improvement strategy resulting in substantially shorter project durations, higher project manager efficiency, and greater customer satisfaction.
  • Managed numerous extremely complex and politically sensitive projects requiring an extraordinary level of attention to detail and project team guidance for clients such as State of California, Orange County Transportation Authority, Riverside County Transportation Commission, and private land developers.
  • Developed the project management abilities of others to perform at a higher level of effectiveness through formal and informal training.

Key Accomplishment:

Created Caltrans relocation program that oversaw all Caltrans related utility relocation projects. Developed process and procedures manual and conducted training for project management teams to increase team efficiency.

Pacific Bell

Engineered telecommunications plans for copper and fiber optic cable facilities and electronics equipment for company and customer initiated projects in Orange County, CA.

  • Managed all design and construction activities for four central offices serving approximately 2.5 million customers
  • Collaborated with major clients such as Disneyland Resorts, Anaheim Angels Stadium, and Fluor to develop new service and relocation projects
  • Performed cost and feasibility analysis studies to determine most efficient and cost effective method of service for customer and company initiated projects
  • Educated other engineers on construction processes resulting in improved effectiveness of department’s overall design capabilities

  • Responsible for daily field operations of 8 copper and fiber optic splicing crews
  • Coached new technicians after they completing formal training to increase proficiency and ensure adherence to work practices and safety standards
  • Directed activities of field personnel during emergency response situations to restore service and mitigate public safety hazards such as a wind event that caused the failure of 45 utility poles in Orange, CA in 2000
  • Oversaw work activities performed by contract crews to ensure adherence to project cost, schedule, and scope.
