12 month contract to facilitate the launch and on-going operation of an externally funded project designed to address men's mental health needs.

  • Re-started previously stalled project and managed to completion.
  • Established productive relationships with diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Produced project plan and internal communications plan.
  • Identified previously unrecognised risks and developed appropriate responses.
  • Effectively managed the termination of a test-bed with positive outcomes.

Canterbury Sustainable Business Forum

Established and ran an independent and credible organisation to expand awareness and uptake of sustainability as a primary business driver.

  • Recruited 50 corporate and individual members.
  • Facilitated 7 discussion forums with recognised experts discussing topics ranging from construction methods to risk management and valuing ecosystem services.
  • Brokered a number of commercial engagements between members.
  • Established formal relationships with other relevant organisations.
  • Built a database of over 400 key people working in sustainability.
  • Wrote and distributed a fortnightly email newsletter on sustainable business.
  • Wrote a number of articles for external publication.
  • Spoke at several events.
  • Established a Linked In group with over 120 members.
  • Built website from scratch.
  • Increased web traffic to an average of more than 30 unique visits lasting more than 30 seconds per day.
  • Prepared a feasibility study for a major local organisation on putting in place a sustainability manager.

Initially completed a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours, however the Feb 2011 earthquake interrupted employment plans resulting in the decision to undertake a Masters in Commerce and Management by thesis only.

Thesis topic:  Consumer attitudes towards sustainable business: An exploratory study of New Zealand consumers.

  •  Sales new Triumph motorcycles, accessories, clothing and spare parts.
  • Developed effective Customer Relationship Marketing(CRM) programme.
  • Designed and produced a wide array of marketing collateral including a quarterly print newsletter, posters, T Shirts and brochures.
  • Produced a broadcast-quality DVD covering the 2008 Greymouth Street Races.
  • Managed all external advertising including production and photography.
  • Built social aspect of business with regular runs and events including information evenings, rider training and product launches.
