5M Med, Inc

The 5M LifeGuard System is a monitoring system without peer in today’s consumer and medical markets. The product, known as “LifeGuard”, consists of a small wrist worn device that monitors the user’s key vital signs (blood oxygen level/change in blood pressure/core body temperature/pulse rate/and heart arrhythmias) around the clock, and does not interfere with his or her normal activities. LifeGuard continuously analyzes the user’s vital signs and when it determines the user needs medical assistance, it calls 911 or interfaces with a monitoring system or a care facility’s nursing station computer system.LifeGuard can detect sudden cardiac arrest 10 -15 minutes before its onset and will call for help immediately. Normally a person has six to eight minutes before hypoxia (lack of oxygen) causes permanent brain damage; LifeGuard gives the user an additional 10 -15 minutes, significantly increasing the chances of survival and minimizing conditions that may result from myocardial infarction.
