Assist a growing business with establishing a web presence. The requirement was to build a site which would allow routine updates and changes to be done by existent staff or management. Costs were to be kept to a minimum. The site should integrate with their existing software and not require any new software to build, maintain or learn. Chosen as member of pioneering core team to evaluate, recommend and configure a corporate regional ERP system. After reviewing offerings from Oracle, PeopleSoft, Edwards and SAP, SAP was selected. Primary responsibilities for business process requirements gathering, system configuration and data migration from legacy system: Material Master – Complete Configuration to Siemens Requirements. Data Mapping from Legacy system to SAP. Product Hierarchy Design and configuration. Data validation. Configuration enhancement support. Consignment – Process design and SAP configuration. (SD module) Returns - Process design and SAP configuration. (SD module) The success of this regional implementation was used as a model for a worldwide SAP ERP implementation. Following the implementation, I supported the above areas by generating reports from SAP using what was available in the standard package. When this proved insufficient reports were generated using functional areas and queries. Due to increased need of information and a fascination with the data available I began generating reports using ABAP focusing again mainly in the SD and MM areas.
