A renowned champion in the supermodified racing division, Dave Shullick enjoys deep roots within the sport. The son of a professional racer, Shullick developed a passion for the exiting pursuit early on, when he ultimately decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. His high-speed instincts shot him to the top of the field almost immediately; in 1999, Dave Shullick Jr. garnered Rookie of the Year decoration as well as Tri-State Auto Club Asphalt Driver of the Year accolades. Dave Shullick Jr. seized that early momentum to ascend to even greater heights. The new millennium saw him earn the 2000 Supermodified Series Points Championship and, in 2001, he won the Midwest Supermodified Association’s (MSA) inaugural event at Sandusky Speedway. He went on to win overall MSA titles in 2005, 2006, and 2007. The winner of six races on the International Supermodified Association circuit as well, Dave Shullick holds several track records from performances at Mansfield Speedway, Auto City, and Dixie Speedway. The 2007 year proved particularly memorable, as Shullick secured a top-five finish in every race in which he competed; further, he captured first place in seven of eight feature races. Most recently, he won the 2012 Sandusky Speedway Town Money Saver event, taking control a third of the way through the race and never relinquishing command.Now in his 13th year of professional racing, Dave Shullick Jr. continues to hone his skills in speed and strategy to the delight of crowds and industry enthusiasts alike.
