January 2010-Along with 8 other cartoonist volunteered and visited Brooke Medical Center and Center for the Intrepid (San Antonio, TX). Collectively we visited wounded US soldiers. We drew cartoons for them in hopes to lift their spirits and morale. This trip was sponsored by the USO and National Cartoonist Society.
April 2010- Part of a 9 cartoonist invasion, we volunteered our time, and abilities to visit wounded soldiers bedside or in rehab in the Walter Reed and Bethesda Medical Centers. We then travelled to Landstuhl Germany to visit the US Military Hospital and Ramstein Airbase and Vogelweh. This opportunity was also sponsored by the USO and NCS.
On October 7, 2010 I volunteered my abilities and patriotism to visit our wounded soldiers in Bethesda, Walter Reed, Kuwait and Iraq. When I was in Washington D.C., I spent time bedside talking and drawing their favorite cartoons for our wounded warriors and their visiting families. In Iraq and Kuwait, I visited our soldiers in Basrah, Talil, Balad and Baghdad. This opportunity was also sponsored by the USO and the NCS
