My professional objective is to maximize my use of the knowledge, skills, and abilities that I have attained through formal education, as well as, employment and life experience as a professional educator.


Involvement in community outreach and educational activities since 1991.


Currently employed with Jackson County School District as a substitute teacher and school bus driver. Been with the organization since July 2015. My previous employer was with Biloxi Public Schools. My prior teacher and tutoring experiences include Mississippi Reads tutor, GED Instructor and Instructional Aide, public school substitute teacher, public school teacher in Drew, Mississippi and public school and alternative school programs in Florida and Mississippi.

Served over 3,000 community service hours including a volunteer center for students at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gulfport. Achieved Master Tutor status for the America Reads project and developed numerous community partnerships in the private, public, and non profit sector.

Middle Tennessee State University

Attained Bachelor of Science degree from the university in 1993. While at the college, I was involved in community advocacy including the Students for Environmental Action and the We, the Students campaign.



I started out as an educator on a volunteer basis in the late 1980's as a private tutor while attending MTSU. Later through my experiences in Adult Education as a GED Instructor and most recently as a public school teacher in Mississippi and Florida. I am utilizing these skills for corporate training such as Train the Trainer programs and also a Private Tutor for varied disciplines. I received a Master of Arts program in Education from William Carey University in 2012.  As part of my commitment towards this field,  I am working on my professional certification in Human Performance and Instructional Design at The University of South Alabama.

I have a real passion for marketing. I began marketing products in the 1980's. I started like most marketing professionals in retail and while I have a deep appreciation for the retail industry, I have become more diverse in career. I am currently learning independently and through continuing education programs to role of social marketing in both the public and private sector.
Community Outreach
I am constantly becoming more knowledgeable about how to connect members of the community to resources in the community. I feel that this is one of my life's missions and I work at it on a consistent basis.
Social Media
While learning and utilizing social media is an ongoing endeavor, I am becoming in utilizing social media as a platform to develop a professional presence on the internet.

Substitute Teacher and School Bus Driver

Jackson County Public Schools, St. Martin community.

Worked primarily at St. Martin High School as a on call substitute teacher. I also worked full time for the school district as a school bus driver transporting students from varied age groups and backgrounds to designated school areas for learning and enrichment activities.

Mr. Davis is a former Faculty Advisory Board member for the Campus Link program at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He currently is the Program Coordinator for Theatre at Blue Grass Community and Technical College in Lexington, Kentucky.

Sam Bailey

Mr. Bailey is the Director of Transportation for Biloxi Public Schools in Biloxi, Mississippi.
