Design and implementation of food waste based bio-gas plant for lighting of lamp.

 Project Summary:

In urban areas the disposal of food waste has become one of the important problems. In rural areas also many times there is no provision for disposal of food waste and it is thrown anywhere in the surroundings which pollute the environment.

                          We have design a simple and compact food waste bio-gas plant. In this bio-gas food waste is used as a input which is used to generate the bio-gas by the process of anaerobic digestion. The generated bio-gas can be used for various purposes. It can be used as fuel, for lighting of gas actuated lamps and it can also be used to generate electricity by bio-gas generator.

                          Here we have used the bio-gas to lighten the gas actuated bulbs so that in the areas where electricity is not available there at list the lamps can be lightened. In the areas where electricity is available we can replace some of the lamps by gas actuated lamps. Since the food waste is used for bio-gas generation the cost of it is very less.
