Began career as a senior auditor with the “Big Four” firm Deloitte & Touché before moving into corporate accounting and finance roles as a controller with Echo Lake Foods and financial analyst with Loyola University Medical Center. Managed the planning and completion of audits. Industries audited included manufacturing, software, pharmaceutical, transportation, and not-for-profit. Other projects included the development of a complex management model used for the purpose of performing sensitivity analyses on a large scale strategic investment. The model ultimately became the client's management reporting and strategic planning tool.
