In this role I am responsible for targeted accounts, acquiring new business, establishing strategic sales and marketing efforts, client care, cross-selling and contributing to operational efficiency. The scope of this role includes targeted prospecting, business and partnership development, building the pipeline of new business, client assessment, sales, communications, campaign strategy, proposal writing, creative and art direction, coordination and implementation of market efforts and continuous process improvement.

I accepted this contractor role in January 2011. I built a 2 Million+ BANT based pipeline, closed new business with Emerson Network Power, Neustar, and National Lime and Stone. Presented at the Ohio Dental Association on Marketing Strategy, refined the proposal process, introduced estimate process to replace formal proposal resulting in 6-10 hours of time saved while still providing clients with estimated ranges. Constructed and refined and secured copyrights for strategic models for the digital marketing and sales efforts which contributed to the current pipeline.

I accepted this role in 2006 and was given a budget of $500,000 to build a team, a plan, secure and manage external contractors and vendors, implement processes, improve collaboration and communication and introduce marketing DNA into highly technical, engineering driven company with complex services to sell.

Each year my team has grown, our responsibilities expand, and we continue to innovate and improve upon our previous year's result earning the respect of executive management and the engineers and developers who once voiced concern about the value of marketing within the organization.

 In my role today, I manage  a budget of 1.2M, a corporate web development team, CMS initiative, graphic designers, program and project managers, vendors and agencies  and support the managers and directors of marketing within the service groups.

I have experience in sourcing and selecting agencies for re-brand, lead-generation, PR, interactive, and content development. Below are a few key wins: 

  • Championed the corporate re-branding effort.  As a result of my recommendations and leadership, Neustar's brand, brand values, and messaging has improved. Guidance on Wall Street is rock solid, and our services are much easier to cross-sell and promote between industries. As a result of lead-generation, ad-buys, social media and nurturing campaigns, Neustar is now being recognized as a leader in telecommunication and IP markets. 
  • Implemented traditional, interactive, social media sales and marketing initiatives. The result is thousands of new business leads, unique visits to our sites and coverage in niche media outlets. Most importantly, sales for the business units we support.
  • Personally launched and currently manage Neustar's Social Media efforts.Within 6 months we've grown our social media following, shared news, links, offers, and generated a loyal and unique following resulting in high-levels of engagement, relevancy and extended reach in Media and Entertainment, Telecommunications, Registry, and Mobile. 
  • Implemented lead generation tools, innovative list services and introduced Neustar to web 2.0. We now use platforms for lead generation, e-mail, video, interactive and pod casts and more. The result of these efforts resulted in increased leads, downloads, lower bounce rates, registered users, subscribers and fans. 
  • Recommended and led projects for the Neustar Content Management System, and socially driven Neustar Intranet. Thanks to this effort we have been able to give service group leads the ability to up-date content, run-ads, launch forms, landing pages, optimize their SEO. The internal Intranet went from a Corporate push site to an interactive social site. Now, all employees can blog, create groups, chat, like, and interact with documents, videos and ads driven to support the internal employees around the world.

ENDFORCE was a leading edge, enterprise focused organization specializing in centralized policy-based network access control software. This software protected corporate networks from vulnerabilities associated with non-compliant or mis-configured laptops and workstations. 

In this role I was responsible for orchestrating and coordinating all facets of message delivery aimed at re-launching the former network company as security software company; scope of role included strategic coordination and implementation of market expansion initiatives including Internet evolution, branding/naming, media campaigns, adwords, ad buys, directory listings, press and public relations, communications tool development, special events, tradeshows and product testing.

I had oversight of staff, multi-million dollar budget administration, event management (celebrity management included - This is a story I have to tell you.), contract negotiations, PR firm and agency oversight and management, white paper development, press, analyst, partner and vendor relations.

I enjoyed working in concert with design teams, interactive and UI developers to build interactive sales and marketing tools, and coordinate and administer cross functional team directives focused on development of fully functional intranet and extranet portals, corporate sites, partner and support sites.

SmartPipes was an IP software services company that simplified the deployment and management of IP VPN intranet and extranet networks for carriers and enterprises.

Senior Manager, Marketing and Education

Consult with internal Engineering and Product Management teams and external customers to form requirements and design customer-specific sales and marketing curriculums that included simulated labs, user guides, sales tools, training aids, product and feature presentations and web-based delivery tools.

In this role I supported the founders and executive management in brand research, brand development, messaging, collateral development, launch of the corporate website and development and management of sales and marketing materials. 

In order to reach our customers I worked with engineering and developers to designed, develop and conduct an 11- city tour consisting of product overview and remote lab for 600 account managers and systems engineers. 

Co-developed and orchestrated a secured, web-based document store for our internal and external customers.

Managed, organized and trained tradeshow and event teams, participated in custom booth design, developed and created the tradeshow labs and demos used at SuperCom and N+I events in 2000 and 2001 resulting in 4,000 leads.
