Daniel has been a very enthusiastic, reliable and trusted member of our team at Time Out Budapest, consistently generating excellent story ideas and delivering high quality copy, to deadline.

He has secured a number of interviews with leading cultural figures, producing lively, often surprising and always interesting articles for us. As well as a great writing style, Daniel has the ability to write illuminatingly on a huge range of subjects.

He has been a real asset to Time Out and I would recommend him without hesitation to any prospective employer.

Desmond McGrath

Having employed Daniel as an editor at my news agency for six years, I can state with all sincerity that he was a capable, reliable and highly valued member of our team. Soon after he entered our newsroom, I was confidently leaving Dan in charge of our agency two weeks a month, safe in the knowledge that our copy would be clear, accurate and succinct, and even elegant when the situation required it.

I was without fail impressed by Daniel’s ability to absorb both contextual and fresh information in order to respond to the shifting situations on which we report. Given the volume of articles that our agency produces, and to tight daily deadlines, this was impressive. Although the lion’s share of his work with us involved writing on politics and business, Daniel’s flair for interpreting art and its artists has always been apparent in his other writing work.

Dan has the wider worldview, respect for good writing and enthusiasm for reporting the facts that all great editors share. He is a talented and dedicated professional, and I unhesitatingly and wholeheartedly recommend him.
