Server Consolidation

Implemented server consolidation plan for a budget-strapped Detroit-area community school. Authored and presented written plan to internal management and client decision-makers. Traveled on-site for deployment, configuration and client training.

Results: Achieved a 50 percent reduction in managed hardware while increasing overall server performance. Replaced out-of-warranty hardware and end-of-life operating system.

Interactive Department

Created and developed department by detailing budget, specifying equipment, selecting and training staff, and determining departmental priorities to support organizational goals.

Results: Department recognized as agency's most valuable resource for long-term business growth.

Agency-developed, Client-maintained Web Sites

Designed, created, deployed and trained clients in the use of Web- and application-based systems to maintain their agency-produced Web sites.

Results: Agency shifted focus from low-margin maintenance billing to high-margin development and programming rates, enjoying increased profits.

Literature Cost Reduction

Conceived and implemented plan to reduce literature production costs through the use of specific inks and paper stock while maintaining quality look-and-feel. Coordinated draft creation, obtained feedback from internal customers and oversaw full-scale plan implementation.

Results: Achieved 43 percent cost reduction in literature printing.

Literature Fulfillment System

Conceived, created and implemented system to align literature reorder points with customer requests, approaching a just-in-time literature fulfillment system.

Results: Sales field complaints eliminated, excess inventory reduced, back orders erased.

University Instructor

Instructed upper-division university students using technologically advanced methods in electronic publishing. Created outlines, authored supplement, prepared multimedia presentations, presented materials.

Results: Student enrollment demands exceeded university’s capacity for four consecutive semesters.
