Las Vegas-based attorney Dani Jo Handell has over twenty-five years of experience as a practicing attorney, including as a general counselor to such corporations as Edison International, Micronomics, Inc., and KeyOn Communications, Inc. Her legal background spans civil, criminal, business, and regulatory management work. Dani Jo Handell also served as a Deputy District Attorney for two California counties, where she led investigations into, and prosecutions of, white-collar crimes involving consumer fraud, environmental and health code violations, and other matters.Dani Jo Handell most recently worked as the Executive Director of Legal and Regulatory operations at the publically held KeyOn Communications, a wireless broadband provider serving twenty states. With the company for three years, she handled human resources and federal and state regulatory compliance. Handell also oversaw corporate transactions and acquisitions, purchase agreements, and patent and licensing rights. Before moving to Las Vegas, Handell served as the Lead Deputy District Attorney for the Consumer and Environmental Crimes Unit of the Solano County District Attorney’s Office in California. During her four years as the division’s lead prosecutor, she worked on numerous major cases, among them People v. Wal-Mart Company, et. al., which involved the illegal storage and transport of pesticides and other hazardous materials. Dani Jo Handell also served as the Managing Deputy District Attorney of the Consumer and Environmental Law Division of the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office in Santa Rosa, California. Dani Jo Handell earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Directly after college, she joined the Los Angeles offices of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, where she remained for eight years as an Antitrust and Litigation Associate.
