  • Researching past and current economic trends of the city of San Diego in order to create a baseline for a future project that will strengthen the city's economy.
  • Maintaining a database of San Diego County's Target Employment Areas (TEA's) to ensure that the city is allocating their funds efficiently.
  • Creating tax incentives vouchers for companies to encourage them to create their businesses in San Diego and likewise, to hire San Diego residents.

Thurgood Marshall College
  • Facilitating discussions and questions among students and their families to ensure that they feel comfortable with their/their student's transition into college.
  • Leading groups of approximately 15 students and their families on tours around the college campus to guarantee that students are familiar with the campus when they arrive in the fall.
  • Writing a production viewed by over 1600 incoming freshmen and their families that explains the different resources available on campus.

  • Coordinating, promoting, and financing for events for Kaibigang Pilipino which has lead to the retention of over 400 underrepresented students at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).
  • Working with a team of 17 students in creating the Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Services (SPACES) which promotes diversity and retention of minorities at UCSD.
  • Writing effective budget proposals to UCSD's administration which has lead to over $2,000 in funding for Kaibigang Pilipino's retention events.

  • Raising over $600 via Care Packages for the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship fund which supports Thurgood Marshall College students in pursuing their educational and vocational goals. 
  • Creating exciting advertisements for Thurgood Marshall College events and resources which lead to increased attendance and utilization.
  • Acting as a liaison between over 3,800 Thurgood Marshall College students and the college staff members resulting in better communication.

Fundraising Chair

Kaibigang Pilipino
  • Raising over $16,000 through sponsorships and fundraisers resulting in a two night production (Pilipino Cultural Celebration, PCC) viewed by an audience of over 800, all receiving free admission.
  • Acting as a liaison between business sponsors and the Official Cultural Cabinet (OCC) resulting in increased fundraising efforts.
  • Tracking fundraising results of over 50 cast members to ensure that each member paid the appropriate amount due for their cast fees.
