6th Level Social Studies Instructor

Educated and instructed multiple blocks of sixth grade students in ancient civilizations and the beginnings of human history, in accordance to national and school standards , focusing  on proper implementation of technology in regards to various delivery methods and assessments.  Online tools were used regularly in an attempt to create a completely paperless classroom with virtual and digital interaction between students, teachers, and other experts. Various assessment methods were implemented  to best accommodate a wide  array of learning styles .

Working with students, faculty, and parents, I helped maintain and coordinate instructional technology throughout the school in all subjects and grade levels. Creating  virtual and digital material for instruction including but not limited to Webquests, Symbaloo, Plickers, Quizlet, Wikispaces, Haiku class sites,  Kidblog,  Google drive, Smart notebook  games and lessons,  and troubleshooting basic PC  problems . Focus was on proper implementation of technology into cross curricular lessons  for all grade levels and throughout all manners of technology. Also lead and organized a yearly  "Week of Code" event school wide.

Instructed multiple 4th grade science classes with the focus of the year being on the scientific process, physical science, astronomy, matter, and energy. Experiments were held weekly  both in and outside the classroom, with a strong reliance on hand-on lessons, virtual field trips, and an end of the year research project on a scientist of their choosing.

Instructed and lead computer classes once a week for all grades, PreK-8. Lessons included proper use of PC's, tablets, and Macs  as well as word processing skills,file management, film and audio production, photo editing, and introduction to coding.

Assisted in instruction, organization, and planning for 36 kindergarten students and 2 teachers. Duties included phonics and reading instruction, computer instruction, and various other duties. Summer Camp

Have lead, instructed, and organized many summer camps totaling 6 years of experience in all types from overnight, boy scout, girl scout, day camps, gymnastics, and school organized camps.  Two years were spent as a gymnastics camp director, 2 as a sailing and boating instructor, and others in various positions. 

After school activities 

Assist and lead several after school activities including forensics,  gaming club (Dungeons & Dragons,)  gymnastics (tumbling & rhythmic,) and science Olympiad. Last years One-Act play for forensics earned several awards and medaled in all tournaments. 

Coaching 

Over 12 years of coaching experience in both recreational and competitive gymnastics, tumbling, and cheerleading. Styles included artistic, rhythmic, and boys gymnastics and ranged  through levels 6 and 7.
