“Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.”

-Chinese Proverb

My philosophies as an educator and as a leader all come back to the aforementioned Chinese proverb in that I feel it is pivotal to not only lead or manage but to involve all stakeholders in creating and attaining a set of goals.

I have been able to work in a variety of educational placements as a Health and Physical Educator that have helped to shape my philosophy on teaching and educational leadership. I have learned that in a diverse profession such as education, it is critical that students, parents, and the community members are involved in the educational process. I believe that lessons should be student centered and I strive to meet their needs, interests and learning styles through the use of differentiated instruction. I am actively searching for employment as a Health & Physical Educator!

Physical Education Philosophy

Physical Education is instruction based on a curriculum that teaches students how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. A physical education program should ensure success for every student while challenging them to always improve. Physical Education should allow each student to grow in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. All students should feel safe and enjoy physical education so that they will use the knowledge and skills acquired in their future!
