For the past 30+ years I have been in a very fortunate position were I have been able to practice my trade with like minded professionals and entrepreneurs who have taught me to be humble in my experience and teach others as much as I can. I am motivated and determined to be the most efficient at all my tasks and duties.I see myself as a fun and understanding person who builds long lasting relationships with mutual respect and an "anything is possible" attitude in life.

Boilermaker / Fitter / Mechanic

Wimbledon Plant Hire

I started at Wimbledon Plant Hire as a broad range mechanic who maintained all the various construction machines. I was soon able to prove myself as a very competent boilermaker and thus worked my way into a position were I designed and manufactured various sizes and styles of digger/loader buckets etc. With my experience in steel binding, I assisted with gunite work, the stabilizing of dam walls and the construction of steel framed water dams.

Boilermaker / Fitter / Mechanic

BC Carriers

As part of the Fleet Service Division, I was tasked with looking after the long distance transport vehicles. This included any repairs to the trailer bodies, general maintenance and mechanical services of the trucks.


Groenewald Furniture

With the love of design in mind, I started my own furniture business from home. Due to the build quality and craftsmanship, the company grew into a 1500 square meter manufacturing plant within a few years. Personally looking after product design and quality control was my keys to success. The business was sold for a profit.



Apprenticed as a boiler maker and a plate maker.Studied: - NTS 3 - NTS 4 - NTS 5Completed a 3 year apprenticeship, passed the tradetest at Olifantsfontein and received permanent employment at Eskom. Excelled at the construction of steel truck bodies, modifications to construction vehicles and steel structure design. I was tasked with building turbines, large fans, welding and large scale riveting.



South Africa Military Service

I received training in Construction Machinery and managed to obtain the licenses for the following: 

- Heavy vehicle

- Light vehicle

- Bulldozer

- Loader

- Digger Loader

- Grader

I also received training to service and maintain all of the above mentioned vehicles and machinery.

I have successfully completed and passed the following courses:

- Greenhand Roustabout

- Forklift (7 ton)

- Crane C32 Level 1 license 

- Banksmen - Rigging and slinging

- Relevant offshore sea survival including the helicopter underwater escape training (H.U.E.T)

- Paint applicators and sand blasting

- Fire fighting

- First Aid
