Politecnico di Torino

Currently attending the PhD in Electronics and Communications Engineering (2007-2009), within the Fibres and Optical Components research group.

Supervisor: Guido Perrone ([email protected])

Research topics:

  • Optical fiber sensors (fiber Bragg gratings, plastic fibers, applications)
  • Characterization of optical components
  • Fiber lasers
  • Signal processing

Part of my PhD thesis will be devised to the Fulbright BEST program, a full immersion in the Silicon Valley entrepreneurialship that will hoprefully support me for putting on the market what is still in my research plans.

From Sept 2009 to Jan 2010 I will join Optical Fiber Technology Center, Sidney, AUS, as part of the Endeavour Research Fellowship.

Alta Scuola Politecnica

Politecnico di Milano - Politecnico di Torino

ASP is a multidisciplinary school for young talents attending M.Sc. in Engineering, Architecture and Design at Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino. ASP is a multidisciplinary school that promotes innovation and strategic vision.

ASP consists of:

  • Interdisciplinary courses on decision making, financial strategy, complex dynamics and sociology of innovation
  • A multidisciplinary project which involves academic institutions, industrial partners and the ASP team.

I was team coordinator of the IHSRL (Italian High Speed Railway Lines) project; our group focused on the impact (both socio-economical and environmental) of the Milan-Turin line on the surrounding territory.

Within ASP, besides the ASP degree, I also obtained the M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, with score 110/110 summa cum laude.
