Among several current startups, I'm providing strategic consulting for VIMBY, a youth-lifestyle filmmaker network which after 10 months of my digital media coaching - recently announced a strategic partnership with Mark Burnett. 

About Me The growth of the digital media sector; over the past 15 years, and my own have been virtually intertwined. I started my career providing strategic consulting and held interim CTO roles at FoxKids Online Network and the Fox Family Channel and served as strategic digital media consultant for NBC's VideoSeeker website.  I founded VideoDome.com Networks - a middleware provider of digital media services, and developed a marquee line up of customers. By the time I sold it to the online video syndication network, Kit Digital [NASD:KITD] (formerly ROO Group)), the company was transformed into an enterprise-class, global offering and raised in excess of $50 Million in financing.

KIT digital, Inc

  • Deployed 6th and 7th generation online video syndication platform.
  • Developed key integration partnerships with Savvis, Akamai , Wedtrends & 24/7 Realmedia, resulting in the delivery of a consistent user experience on a global basis.
  • Roadshow support on raising $40M in financing over a two-year span.
  • Deployed various proof-of-concept products to facilitate innovative integration with Yahoo! Video, Blinkx, AOL Video, Windowsmedia.com & more.
  • Single-handedly deployed global MIS functions, spanning VoIP, collaborative software, email systems, messaging, and security.
  • Architected build-out of enterprise-grade transcoding platform with partner, Origin Digital.
  • Created new product features reflected across current 600 website publishers, 100 advertisers and 80 content providers.
  • Delegated wide-spanning responsibilities upon exit to a new CTO, VP of Infrastructure, VP of Software Development, MIS Coordinator, VP of Online Video Marketing and a support team beneath each.

VideoDome Networks

  • Launched and founded VideoDome in 1997 as a content aggregator, focusing on major movie studios, independent studios, and direct response companies…such as MGM, Disney, 20th Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Paramount Pictures and Guthy-Renker Corporation.
  • Evolved the company from content aggregator to content enabler, allowing customers to publish video content online within a simple, yet powerful template-driven publication engine. 
  • Secured $1.2 million in venture financing in 2001 by Avenue Group (AVNU).
  • Acquired premiere customers attracted to this digital media middleware model, including FoxKids, Kenneth Cole, Redken, L’Oreal Cosmetics, Stanley Tools and more.

Acting CTO

FoxKids/Fox Family Channel

  • Reported directly to Haim Saban and Adam Chesnoff, COO -- creators of Power Rangers.
  • Provided strategic consulting on all technology and digital media initiatives,including transcoding a library of 6,000 videos spanning 30 different FoxKids properties.
  • Teamed with Adam Chesnoff, Mr. Saban’s EVP of Business Development, to assist on anything and everything related to core business: successfully migrating the Kids Network from mid-tier to enterprise-tier data center, architecting back-end hardware/software infrastructure, and eliminating prior bottlenecks. 
  • Managed $3 million budget for wiring, presentation gear, boardroom hardware – everything necessary to house new FoxKids Online,
  • Leveraged VideoDome’s initial 1.0 platform to encode and use of templated turnkey approach for publishing FoxKids properties, including Power Rangers, Nascar Racers and Digimon.
  • Transitioned and interviewed to fill permanent CTO replacement position for the network.

  • Provided digital media strategic consulting on NBC VideoSeeker deployment.
  • Showcased NBC video properties on early video portal, including World News, The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live and numerous other NBC properties.
  • Charged with assisting on digitizing of content, streamlining process of publishing content to the web, and overall digital video strategy.
  • Supported encoding deployment and content liaison with major Hollywood movie and independent studios.
