Night Manager/Hotel Assistant

Moved to the French Alps for 6 months to work for a leading tour operator in a busy ski resort. Working as part of a 25 strong team in a 60 bed hotel in Tignes, France I carried out various tasks from bar work to kitchen assistant, alongside my main role as a night manager.

The role of night manager came with a number of responsibilities during the course of my time in France including: helping guests who had fallen unwell during the night, protecting the guests by ensuring the hotel was secure at night, taking charge of proceedings in the event of a fire alarm or power cut.

I am competent with a range of IT hardware and software, boasting the ability to work with a number of Microsoft Office products that are popular in the workplace, such as: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint among others. These allow me to undertake a range of tasks in a professional manner, whether it be an important presentation or the storing of customer information in an organised and easily accessible style.


I have demonstrated useful management skills whilst working at two separate local restaurants, where on many occasions I was left in charge of the shop front. Such skills were developed by issues that could arise on a typical day at work; a dispute with a customer or a member of staff, or even a technical issue with part of the restaurants computer system.


Working within a busy sales team, i have built up experience in the appropriate ways to deal with customers needs and expectations. Valuable sales experience includes:

I have a keen interest in skiing, having skied in a number of different European resorts over the last 10 years and moving to France for the winter season of 2016/17. Alongside this i have a general enthusiasm for outdoor activities, summer and winter, including: hiking, climbing and canoeing, all of which help me to stay fit and active.

I play tennis at a local court during the summer, playing up to 3 times a week. I help out at the local Scout Group as a young leader, I also accompany them on Scout camps, leading walking groups and supervising activities.
