In 2005, I decided to pursue a career in education.I began working toward a Master's degree, and completed practicum and student teaching requirements.Unfortunately, in the meantime, the job market for teachers came to a near standstill., so I accepted some part time jobs to help make ends meet, while we started our family.

Now, I am very ready to reenter the workforce, and have been looking diligently outside the teaching arena.Two areas in which I feel that I have enough experience to be successful, are marketing and project management. Although I do not have a degree in Marketing, I have a natural ability in marketing concepts and business dynamics.I also have experience in needs assessment, program development and promotion.If you think about the diversity of my background as you read my profile, you will see that I can make an excellent candidate for a position, in this field.

Some of my assets are that I am a person of integrity and professionalism.  I have an enthusiastic nature, and work well independently, as well as with a team.I am excellent at multi-tasking, insist on attention to detail, am very organized, and self-motivated.I have always been a talented writer and have excellent proof-reading abilities.I also have outstanding leadership skills.Others will find that I am approachable, sincere, diplomatic, and take careful consideration when making difficult decisions.Above all else, I truly enjoy working with and meeting new people and have a strong desire to help others succeed.  I believe my skills and abilities would be a compliment to almost any position.

Event Planning

I have experience as the 'event planner' in several of my previous positions. I have planned, or assisted with the planning of company picnics, a blood drive, fundraisers, retirement parties, holiday parties, regional meetings, and more.

I have a talent for insight and needs assessment when it comes to developing and promoting new programs.  I have worked on a professional level in developing new programs, based on community needs.  Currently, I am working with some community organizations to develop, plan and promote programs that meet the needs of the community and/or organization.
