I recently graduated from Miami University in Ohio and cannot wait to explore the New York, Chicago, or L.A. fashion field. Through my involvement at the university, as well as my work experience, I have dabbled in a plethora of areas pertaining to fashion, such as styling, personal assisting, merchandising, marketing, and PR. It is because of this that I believe I have the background and qualifications one would seek in a member of their team.
As you will note under Work History, I was given the opportunity to work backstage during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2011 assisting the Behnaz Sarafpour team. Through this amazing experience, I was able to see firsthand the inner-makings of a show, assist the production manager, and learn to pay attention to minute details to ensure the show's success. In addition, I had a summer internship in Las Vegas with Heather Allen Concepts. During this internship, I delegated couture installations at Chanel, personally merchandised various shops at the Palazzo Hotel, and collaborated with the design team for innovative ideas for couture shops at Fashion Show Mall. Currently, I am working as a personal assistant and the VP of Marketing for Health Source Chiropractic. Not only do I maintain constant organization of the office, hold responsibility for the doctor's schedule, and communicate with high-profile clients, but I also created and control the office's electronic media, book many events, and obtain approximately 5 new clients weekly.
Additionally, I have taken on much responsibility at Miami University as an executive member of both marketing and event planning for Miami University's Fashion Club (MUCFD). As an executive member, I have styled and directed a promotional photo shoot advertisement, proposed new marketing strategies for our spring show, and obtained an individual business contact list in order to build our club's brand. My experience with MUCFD, as well as my extensive involvement with my internships, has taught me to pay attention to detail, organize continuously, take initiative when I can bring new ideas to the table, be responsible for all actions, form lasting relationships, and execute orders with diligence. I believe these valuable experiences, combined with my course work in multiple Communications, Marketing and Management courses, will prove that I can be a vital member of any team.
