At Gowan Law Firm, I was responsible for payment entry. I was to make sure that each payment received from our clients was documented in books and on the software given. I also, generated logs of bankrupties and forclosures for specific needs for the county.
At Blendco, I was responsible for entering all invoices into the specified program,where I logged each one for payment and catagorized each one for tax purposes. I also prepared the sales tax forms and helped with product inventory.
At Brush More Paint, my job requirements are to generate pay applications each month to all of our contractors, keep a finance book on all the the accounts receiveable, bookkeeping, manage payroll, prepare job proposals, prepare sales tax forms, and to over see that each of our employees are kept up to date on the required training for each jobsite. I am also required to sit in on job meetings when needed.
I am part of a family owned business, Brush More Paint, where I do bookkeeping and manage an office from my home. I have been a part of the business for ten(10) years. Between these ten(10) years I have worked for two(2) other companies in the field of accounting. I am currently a full time student at JCJC where I am majoring in Accounting. I hope to futher my knowledge and earn my degree in this field with hopes of one day opening my own firm where I can manage the finances of other companies.
I have been happily married for six(6) years and have two(2) beautiful children ages four(4) and two(2). My husband enjoys building engines for his race car so of course we spend most of our Friday nights at the race track. My son enjoys sports and racing also. My daughter enjoys primping and being prissy. I love my family, so I just sit back an roll with the flow.
